Media Blackout's LogicBlock is a carbon fiber-nylon composite 3D printed bracket that is used to attach wireless HD receivers to certain SmallHD and TVLogic monitors.
LogicBlocks are part of our 3D product series, which are 3D printed in-house using a strong, high-quality carbon fiber-nylon composite material that prints in a natural carbon color, without dyes. LogicBlocks are extremely light, and they won't crack or split. LogicBlocks come with all necessary hardware.
TVLogic 056WP, 058W & 055A: TVLogic LogicBlocks can be built with or without a battery plate. If you choose a battery plate, the LogicBlock will be built pre-wired with a 4-pin mini-XLR connector and a 2-pin Lemo (0B.302). LogicBlocks ordered without a battery plate can be used with TVLogic's OEM battery brackets, but the HD receiver will require an external power cable.
SmallHD 502: SmallHD 502 LogicBlocks can be ordered with or without a battery plate. The battery plate passes power directly through to the 502 monitor without an external cable. The HD receiver receives power via a thin 2-pin Lemo (0B.302) lead. If the 502 LogicBlock is ordered without a battery plate, the monitor will have one battery position free, and the HD receiver will need an external cable.
SmallHD 702: SmallHD 702 LogicBlocks must be ordered with a battery plate. The battery plate passes power directly through to the 702 monitor without an external cable. 702 LogicBlock for Teradek Sidekick feature an internal panel-mounted Lemo connector to provide power to the HD receiver without external cabling. Other 702 LogicBlock designs power the HD receiver via a thin 2-pin Lemo (0B.302) lead.
SmallHD 503, 703, & 703 Bolt: SmallHD 503 & 703 LogicBlocks can be ordered with or without internal wiring. No power cables are needed when the plate is internally wired: the monitor receives power through its rear Molex connector while the wireless receiver is powered through an integrated, panel-mounted Lemo connector. The LogicBlock can be configured with a built-in battery plate, or used with SmallHD battery plates for 503 & 703 monitors.
When a 503/703 LogicBlock is configured without a battery plate, a jumper is supplied to power the monitor from a SmallHD battery plate. In this configuration, the receiver must be powered from the battery plate's P-Tap port.
NEW! Use a LogicBlock with a 703 Bolt wireless monitor from SmallHD to attach a 2nd receiver to the monitors SDI input for multiview applications! Just choose SmallHD 703 as your monitor model when configuring your LogicBlock.
Universal Receiver: The Universal Receiver option allows all Teradek and Paralinx receivers to mount in the LogicBlock (except 1st generation Teradek Bolt; Paralinx Arrow, Triton, 1st generation Tomahawk, and Dart receivers). A trade-off with the universal design is that some receivers will have gaps around the sides, and will have external power cabling. Even with a gap in the mount, receivers will be held firmly in place with a 1/4-20 screw.
Universal Gold Mount: The Universal Gold Mount option is meant to be used with any monitor that has a Gold Mount pattern. This is a good option if you have a monitor that is not listed in the options, but has a Gold Mount pattern. The Universal Gold Mount option also works well if you use SmallHD's Gold Mount Battery Bracket Kit for your 702. Internally wired plates provide power to the wireless HD video receiver, includes a 2-pin Lemo output jack for monitor power.
Lemo Hot-Swap: The optional 2-pin Lemo (0B.302) input is wired to a hot-swap circuit that automatically switches from the battery plate to the Lemo input, or whichever voltage is higher. The Lemo is wired Pin-1 GND to match Teradek, Paralinx, and SmallHD Lemo inputs. Inputs for 7.4V nominal monitors are regulated and can accept 12/24V. Inputs for 14.4V capable monitors are unregulated.
Lemo Output: The optional 2-pin Lemo (0B.302) output passes unregulated power from the battery plate and features diode protection to prevent back feeding current to the monitor and receiver. The Lemo is wired Pin-1 GND to match Teradek, Paralinx, and SmallHD Lemo inputs
Handles: LogicBlock Handles come in pairs, and are fitted specifically to the LogicBlock style that they are ordered with. 702 Handles attach directly to the 702 LogicBlock. 503/703 Handles require the SmallHD Mounting Cage accessory to attach them to the monitor.
