Media Blackout was the first in the cinema/broadcast industry to employ Markforged 3D printers, and we even worked with Markforged to beta test their current generation of filament, Onyx.
Media Blackout now uses the latest generation Markforged printers, the Mark Two Enterprise, to produce high strength composite products using Onyx, a carbon fiber-nylon composite that is 27x stronger than ABS. Printed parts can be reinforced with fiberglass, carbon fiber, or Kevlar. These parts have a higher strength-to-weight ratio than 6061 aluminum and can replace parts that would normally be CNC machined.
This process allows Media Blackout to offer parts to our clients that have a faster turnaround time and are more affordable than machining parts in small quantities. Printed parts have a sleek finished look that rivals any 3D printed parts on the market.
Please contact us for quotes. We can use your 3D files, or design parts based on your specifications. We can also help with rapid prototyping and even 3D CAD design. Turn around time is based on complexity of the part and availability of our printer.
